History: THe Faith Health Clinic is a nonprofit organization, established in August 1997. The clinic provides free and affordable medical care throughout the Panhandle area to the poor, indigent and working people who simply do not have medical insurance. This clinic was established as an outreach from the church and is also supported by many local churches in our community.
Staff: All workers, the physicians, nurses and office staff, work on a volunteer basis. Dr. Efiong Andem, Chief Medical Officer at Holmes County Correctional Institution in Bonifay serves as the President of the Board and Director of the Clinic.
Services: The clinic provides medical diagnostic care, ongoing treatment, plus providing many free medications. Dr. Andem works with pharmaceutical companies to obtain medications. These medications treat such illness as high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease. The clinic also provides assistance to their patients in need of nutritional assistance through the recently expanded food bank.
Contributions: Local hostpitals, doctors and pharmacists donate used medical equipment, and share samples of medications as they are available. Monetary donations are always welcome, as the needs for addtional equipment, supplies and educational programs never cease.
